Many times when people get hurt as a result of a relationship, they are quick to draw the conclusion that they don't need anyone in their life or will never venture into any romantic relationships again. That is their way of protecting themselves from getting hurt again from someone who doesn't truly love them.
When they do enter one later in the future, it becomes hard to commit to that relationship; they find it difficult to trust their partner because of their ugly experience in their last relationships.
They hold on to the past bad treatment received from their former love mate, which is not the best thing to do at any point in time. We all need a good relationship no matter what happened because it is good to our soul and well-being, but if you encounter a bad one accidentally because I know that nobody will see a bad relationship and willingly decide to go into it, it does not mean you cannot have a good relationship in the future when you come in connection with the rightful person for you.
Don't let a bad relationship make you think or feel that you don't need anyone in your life again to mingle with. You were not created to be alone; I mean, you are someone's soulmate, someone's missing rib, so stop thinking of being alone; that's why it took two people: a Father and a mother to bring you into the world.
What we need are good people who sincerely have good intentions of being together with us till death separates us.
Seek counseling from your mentor or experts in marriage and relationships counseling if you are hurt, especially because of a failed relationship or marriage. Isolating yourself can only lead you to destruction and emotional problems.
The sun will shine after the rain irrespective of how life treated us. The end of a bad relationship is the beginning of a great relationship, but that's only when you let the past go behind you while you focus on a new beginning with someone who will truly cherish and love you; a beautiful day is knocking on the door of your heart. Don't let your past keep you stuck in a place you don't want to ever be.
Above all, pray for God's direction while you search for the right soulmate. After all, you can't do it on your own power; you should involve God.
